Berner has developed the HETI range of cleaning and detergent products based on the needs and wishes of professionals in the industry. Almost all HETI detergents and cleaning products are manufactured in the Heinävesi factories and have been awarded the Key Flag label of the Finnish Work Federation. A few HETI brand products are manufactured elsewhere in Europe.
PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT AND PRODUCTION IN DOMESTIC HANDS
Our product development team is based at Berner’s laboratory in Herttoniemi in Helsinki, Finland, with several chemists and laboratory technicians at our headquarters. HETI professional products are manufactured at Berner’s Heinävesi factory, which employs around 60 people in total, making Berner the largest private employer in Heinävesi.
Berner has obtained ISO 9001 quality certification, ISO 14001 environmental certification and ISO 22716 certification for the manufacture and storage of cosmetics and hygiene products (GMP, Good Manufacturing Practices). HETI professional products are manufactured using 100% renewable energy. We use green wind power at all our Finnish sites.
RAW MATERIALS FOR HETI PRODUCTS
When choosing the raw materials for our products, we focus on high quality and purity. We use Finnish raw materials wherever possible.
All HETI products are vegan, except for the laundry detergent. The floor waxes and laundry detergent contain three raw materials that are not biodegradable. Other HETI products are biodegradable. HETI products have not been tested on animals.
ECO-LABELLED HETI PRODUCTS
The appearance of HETI products is inspired by the pure Finnish nature. Clear labelling and colours on the packaging, such as rowan red, water blue and mountain green, help the user to easily distinguish the products from each other.
HETI products have an eco-labelled product in every category for which the eco-label can be awarded. The range of eco-labelled products will be extended. Each product category also includes fragrance-free and dye-free options, many of which carry the Allergy Label of the Finnish Allergy, Skin and Asthma Federation.
PACKAGING MATERIALS AND RECYCLING OF HETI PRODUCTS
HETI products will be packaged using domestic recycled plastics. However, this will take into account the challenges posed by professional products in terms of the durability and other properties of recycled plastic. The HETI bottle mould will be modified so that 6g less plastic can be used in its manufacture, without compromising strength.
The packaging board and plastic for HETI products is suitable for recycling. Spray bottles are made from 97% recycled material. All materials are recyclable.
RESPONSIBLE DISPENSING IN A SAFE WAY
The HETI Turva product range combines the right product and dosage every time, without touching the concentrated chemical itself. The HETI Turva range can be connected to any Promax-style cleaner dispenser. The HETI Turva cap is designed in such a way that no product can come out of the spur except through the dispenser. This avoids the inconvenience of overdosing.
The HETI Turva range forms a closed system with the dispenser, so that the user does not come into contact with the undiluted detergent during dispensing. The safety adapters are colour-coded so that the dispenser cannot be accidentally connected to the wrong substance. The safety adapter only attaches to the safety cap of the same colour of the jug.
